Marquee's and Tent Structures
Marquee's and tent structures can be complex in design and are often installed in open areas which can be subjected to unpredictable wind loadings.
One of the largest marquee structures in existence is the Cirque de Soleil tents. The high capacity central king pole ground anchors were installed to a depth of 7.0m & designed to resist 400kN of uplift force. Screwpiles provide high capacities in tension loads as they are installed inline with the direction of load. In applications where guyed wires are used screwpiles are installed at similar angle to that of the cable allowing for efficient direct line of pull maximising structural and geotechnical efficiencies.
Versatility in connection methods between screwpile and guyed wire enables fast connection and post tensioning of the ground anchor. Ground anchor removal is as easy as installation and anchors are reusable when required.
